 Baltic Training Services has launched an AAT approved apprenticeship in accountancy at Levels 2 and 3.  Our flexible accounting and finance programme is designed to meet the business needs of employers whilst providing highly technical accountancy training for learners.  We help individuals gain specific skills for a career in accounting, ensuring that our training adds real value to businesses from day one.

What's involved in AAT Level 2 Accounting Apprenticeships with Baltic Training?

 Accountancy Level 2 modules include:

Basic Accounting 1 - Principles and procedures relating to processing business transactions, financial documents and payments. Processing ledger transactions and preparing an initial trial balance.

Basic Accounting 2 - Maintenance and reconciliation of a cash book, balancing and reconciling with bank statements. Knowledge and understanding of the UK bank system. Petty cash and Journal records. Debtor and creditor control through the use of control accounts.  Non-standard bookkeeping transactions and double-entry bookkeeping records.

Basic Costing - Cost recording systems and best responses to requests for cost and expenditure related information. Recording and extracting information, and using a cost sytem to provide information for management.

Working Effectively - Developing transferable skills and effective working practices. Teamwork and independent working skills. Developing workplace-ready standards of literacy and numeracy.

Professional Ethics - The importance of ethical duties and how to work within a code of ethics to ensure that the public can gain confidence in accounting functions.  Protecting professional reputation and integrity.

Computerised Accounting - Selecting and using computerised accounts to input and process data for orders, invoices, receipts and payments.  Preparing management and period-end reports.
